Can I Receive Incontinence Products Through Mississippi Medicaid?

Mississippi currently provides incontinence products for adults as one of the medically necessary items under its Medicaid coverage. Under Mississippi Medicaid, individuals and their loved ones may qualify to receive a combination of the following:

  • Bladder Control Pads (Poise Pads)
  • Adult Briefs (Adult Diapers)
  • Catheters
  • Disposable Underpads
  • Gloves
  • Adult Pull-Ons (Protective Underwear)

Mississippi Medicaid does not consider adult wipes a medical supply. Additionally, Medicare does not cover incontinence products at this time.

To receive incontinence supplies from MS Medicaid, you must have the following:

  • A medical diagnosis resulting in incontinence
  • A signed prescription from a physician, nurse practitioner, or physician assistant stating that incontinence supplies are medically necessary
  • Total number of incontinence products needed to treat the condition
