Can I Receive Incontinence Products Through Nevada Medicaid?

Nevada currently provides incontinence products as one of the medically necessary items under its Medicaid coverage. With Nevada Medicaid, you may qualify to receive every month a combination of the following:

  • Protective Underwear,
  • Adult Briefs,
  • Disposable Underpads, And
  • Bladder Control Pads.

To receive incontinence supplies from NV Medicaid, you must have the following:

  • A medical condition that requires incontinence supplies (i.e., autism, diabetes, down syndrome, Parkinson’s disease, etc.)
  • Prior authorization and documented proof within the last six months from a physician stating the medically necessary items
  • The estimated amount of incontinence supplies needed per day

What Is Nevada Medicaid?

Nevada Medicaid is health insurance that helps many people who can’t afford medical care pay for some or all of their medical bills. This program is available only to specific low-income individuals and families in Nevada who fit into an eligibility group recognized by Federal and state law. Medicaid does not pay you; instead, it sends payments directly to your healthcare providers.

To be eligible for Nevada Medicaid, you must:

  • Be a resident of the state of Nevada,
  • A U.S. national, citizen, permanent resident, or legal alien in need of health care/insurance assistance,
  • Whose financial situation would be characterized as low-income or meager income.

You must also be one of the following:

  • Pregnant, or
  • Be responsible for a child 18 years of age or younger, or
  • Blind, or
  • Have a disability or a family member in your household with a disability, or
